RAI TV licence cancellation

The RAI licence fee is automatically charged on your electricity bill. If you no longer own a television or qualify for an exemption, you can submit a declaration of non-ownership.

Step-by-step procedure

Download the official form
Go to agenziaentrate.gov.it, "Canone TV" section. Download the self-certification form. Always use the 2025 version.
Make sure to download the updated version.

Fill in and sign
Enter your personal details, tax code and select the box matching your situation. Sign and date.
If you are exempt due to income (over 75), attach a copy of your pension slip.

Send by registered mail or certified email
Send to: Agenzia delle Entrate — Dir. Prov. I di Torino — Ufficio Canone TV — P.O. Box 22 — 10121 Turin. Or via certified email to cp22.canonetv@postacertificata.rai.it
Always keep the shipping receipt as proof.

No confirmation needed
The declaration is valid from the date of submission. If the fee was already charged, you can request a proportional refund.
